New Daycare Centre First Steps is now open

Date: 09 FEB posted by Jamshedon

At First step Playgroup we believe that children should develop at their own pace with the support of an experienced practitioner who can develop the child’s learning through play and build up on their interest. We at the playgroup strongly believe that building a positive relationship with the parents, other professional and the community gives the children the capability to learn and develop further.

To develop and meet each child's needs the key person observes, plans and extends on the child's interest following the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.

Children at the playgroup are encouraged to develop their own self-help skills by accessing resources from the areas of their interest which are available at all times. Children at the playgroup take part in a variety of activities such as turn taking, this develops the child's social skills and helps them to build relationship with their peers and other adults at the setting. The children take part in different creative activities such as exploring and experimenting with different textures and materials to expand their imagination. By using creative activities children are given opportunity to express themselves and learn at the same time.
